Yule Log，在欧洲几个国家的天主教，和日耳曼名族的宗教节日，传统上都保留在圣诞节和冬至期间在火炉里烧树根，不仅是取暖，也是传统。圣诞树根蛋糕就是这样来的。法语中，叫Bûche de Noël。
